Jog with a partner
Jog in familiar areas, AVOID secluded places
Do Not jog alone after dark
Wear Reflective Vest when jogging at night
Carry a personal alarm, stun gun, or other personal safety device
Always lock door when you leave and carry key, someone could be waiting for you to leave
Always be aware of your surroundings
Only wear one headphone so you can hear what’s happening around you
Carry a cellphone

Crime in Your Area

Everyone should be aware of the crime that goes on in their area and the areas they frequent.

Neighborhood Scout has a website that breaks it all the way down. I’ve been utilizing this site for years because it’s very in depth and easy to understand. Strangely enough it’s a real estate site…I know weird 🤣

Also the Feds have the CDE, Crime Data Explorer, site. I’m new to this site. I don’t like the way it spins when you click the link lol, I’m a mess, however I did like the info and set up. https://crime-data-explorer.fr.cloud.gov/pages/explorer/crime/crime-trend

The Feds also have the fbi.gov site as well. It is called UCR, Uniform Crime Reporting. Crime Data Explorer(CDE), upon further investigation it seems is the new UCR or combined with it? The below statement is off the UCR site…

Regardless, you can never have too much knowledge when it comes to safety. Your local police and sheriif departments should have a site with tjis information as well.
