Get a Camera
4DGIRLZ SAFETY Tip of the Week!
Buy camera’s for your property. The more the better and preferably with an alarm you can sound remotely.
I’m always seeing/hearing stories about crime but there is no pics or video, which makes it hard to alert others….No Face No Case
I have a Ring cam and love it! Plus it runs off my home wifi so I get notifications and can watch it on my phone when I’m away.

Crime in Your Area
Everyone should be aware of the crime that goes on in their area and the areas they frequent.
Neighborhood Scout has a website that breaks it all the way down. I’ve been utilizing this site for years because it’s very in depth and easy to understand. Strangely enough it’s a real estate site…I know weird ๐คฃ
Here’s a link for crime in KY as that is the state I currently reside but you can find info on any state in America. https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ky/crime
Also the Feds have the CDE, Crime Data Explorer, site. I’m new to this site. I don’t like the way it spins when you click the link lol, I’m a mess, however I did like the info and set up. https://crime-data-explorer.fr.cloud.gov/pages/explorer/crime/crime-trend
The Feds also have the fbi.gov site as well. It is called UCR, Uniform Crime Reporting. Crime Data Explorer(CDE), upon further investigation it seems is the new UCR or combined with it? The below statement is off the UCR site…
Explore UCR
The FBIโs Crime Data Explorer (CDE) is the digital front door for UCR data. The interactive online tool enables law enforcement and the public to more easily use and understand the massive amounts of UCR data currently collected. With it, users can view charts and graphs that break down data in a variety of ways.
Regardless, you can never have too much knowledge when it comes to safety. Your local police and sheriif departments should have a site with tjis information as well.
As always be safe and be aware!

Parking Safety
Tips when parking
Theft and Vandalism
โข Whenever possible, provide each dwelling with its own locked garage within the property boundaries. Locked garages outside the boundaries or well-lit and visible common car parks are the next best thing.
โข Where private garages are not are not feasible, a carport or driveway parking is preferable to grouped parking away from dwellings.
โข As a general rule, underground or multi-story car parks should be avoided, as they are breeding grounds for vandalism and crime. If they already exist, danger could be minimized by limiting entry points and providing them with sturdy locked gates. Alternatively, each resident could be provided with a lockable gate in their own space, with robust, vandal proof metal doors โ garages within garages, so to speak. Or users can be provided with a secure lock or plastic key card, which operates electronic doors.
โข Grouped car parks should be avoided in high-crime areas. If they cannot be avoided, they should be within view of some dwellings; they should be equipped with sturdy gates or tilt doors, and should never be sited near alleyways.
โข Open car parks should be small and within view of dwellings and visitorsโ car parks should be clearly identifiable, well lit, and visible from dwellings.
โข Most Important, BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS WHEN PARKING! If anything or anyone looks suspicious, donโt park there. Trust your gut every time!
