Tips when parking
Theft and Vandalism
• Whenever possible, provide each dwelling with its own locked garage within the property boundaries. Locked garages outside the boundaries or well-lit and visible common car parks are the next best thing.
• Where private garages are not are not feasible, a carport or driveway parking is preferable to grouped parking away from dwellings.
• As a general rule, underground or multi-story car parks should be avoided, as they are breeding grounds for vandalism and crime. If they already exist, danger could be minimized by limiting entry points and providing them with sturdy locked gates. Alternatively, each resident could be provided with a lockable gate in their own space, with robust, vandal proof metal doors – garages within garages, so to speak. Or users can be provided with a secure lock or plastic key card, which operates electronic doors.
• Grouped car parks should be avoided in high-crime areas. If they cannot be avoided, they should be within view of some dwellings; they should be equipped with sturdy gates or tilt doors, and should never be sited near alleyways.
• Open car parks should be small and within view of dwellings and visitors’ car parks should be clearly identifiable, well lit, and visible from dwellings.
• Most Important, BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS WHEN PARKING! If anything or anyone looks suspicious, don’t park there. Trust your gut every time!

Well I’m sure you’ve noticed as everyone else has the freight loads are getting real thin. I mean almost transparent.
The company I work for has seen a dramatic decrease in loads from just 2 months ago. It was like as soon as the rates went up, loads went down.
The major companies seem to have loads that we don’t to keep drivers moving or get them back from areas like the west and I’m talking any state west of like MO. Or upper norheast states that once you get there all the loads stay up in that area so you have to deadhead to like NY just to get out of that loop.
I do see where loads out of Bremen IN and Whitestown IN are back….for now. But my Gawd, loads used to be plentiful coming out of IL, IN, OH and areas like that. Shit, I haven’t sent one of my drivers to OH in months. I have 2 drivers that live in IN and they had to do something else this week cause I didn’t have anything for them. Whereas, just a month ago I was able to book them for the week by Tuesday.
So it seems like it’s come to the point where it’s a go for what you market. Get in where you fit in and get qualified with as many reputable brokers as you can to stay afloat until this menagerie is over.

In my opinion, the biggest complaint I see with customer service today is communication. Don’t get me wrong a lot of companies today have automated responses which greatly speeds up the contact process but the communication is lacking. You’re either talking to a robot or someone who doesn’t understand, therefore can’t effectively help.
Example…a few weeks ago I started receiving emails from Google saying they thought I was 13 or younger and they were going to delete my Gmail. I thought it was a scam and ignored it until I got the same email to my other Gmail. I contacted Google. Below is the end of the exchange of 11 emails between the rep and I.
In this article Devin talks about the most common types of scams leveraged against truckersand their businesses these days. I can attest that these are accurate as I deal with them daily at my job.

Also, there is another scam that seems to be getting worse and that’s unauthorized use of driver’s credit and debit cards. I’ve had a couple drivers tell me their cards have been compromised. My advice is when you’re not using your card have it turned off or restricted so it can’t be used in a nefarious manner by others. Just remember to turn it back on when you go to use it again.
Stay vigilant and alert everyone. Times are too tough to be falling prey to clowns that have nothing better to do than to prey on hard working individuals and their business. Be safe💯✌🏾
If you have no idea how much work using a leveler is to haul a load, please watch this video. It is mind blowing how much work is involved. Also, they look heavy and awkward so hats off to all drivers who use them.
Dispatchers and brokers really need to understand the equipment their drivers use in case the driver calls with a problem you can comprehend what is happening and help in an efficient manner.

To manifest your true love you need to get focused on what you want in your true love.
Make a list of all the qualities you are looking for in a man/woman and a relationship. Be honest, clear and concise in what you want because you will get what you ask for, or not get what you don’t ask for. If you want them buff, ask for that. If you want them to be established, ask for that. If you don’t want them to be annoying or married, ask for that. Whatever you desire. You can go over the list occasionally, but don’t dwell on it.
Next, do something that may help you meet them…go out with friends, take a new route home, go to a different store. You have to do different things to get different results. Also heed signs from the Universe.💯
Don’t do anything that will block your blessings. By this I mean don’t start throwing yourself at everyone you meet. Don’t sign up for a dating website and get lost in all the attention. It’s okay to be selective. 🧐
When someone shows interest go slow and see if they check any or all of the boxes of your true love’s qualities. Be cautious and don’t settle for someone who MAY BE the one, wait for THE ONE. If you have waited this long and put in the effort of finding your soulmate why not be certain you find the right one. The one you dreamed of and called into your reality.
Most importantly, give Thanks to your higher power for sending your true love to you.

It is important to verify you receive, sign and submit the new rate con if any changes have been made aftet booking and you want to get paid the correct amount. Everyone isn’t honest and times are hard right now so be diligent.

Tell whomever you booked the load with of any issues immediately so they can have a record. Don’t assume the broker or agent knows what’s going on. A lot of times they have no idea there’s a problem because the shipper/receiver is communicating with you, the driver. In my current job, I am the one who alerts brokers/agents of issues with loads and I do brokerage tracking. I’ll call for load or empty times and the driver informs me, whether I ask or not. So don’t be afraid to say something because a closed mouth don’t get fed. And, in my opinion the only time contact is initiated from the shipper/receiver to the broker/agent is when there is an issue with the driver…for example they are acting out of pocket, being rude or acting violent. By the way, don’t do this is you don’t want to be labeled as such. Especially if you need to be paid for extra work. If you want to talk shit do so after you get paid.

Today I was looking for a video about what I could do with my 4C hair (irrelevant) and a video popped up from Jake Ducey. Jake is the first person I subscribed to on my manifestation journey and I learned soooo much from him, appreciate ya Jake!
As usual Jake’s video was right on time as I have been trying to manifest $10K in 10 days and it’s going slow to say the least. Lol. My truth is, I’m on day 7 and let’s just say we keeping hope alive. Well as I watched Jake’s video I realized my higher powers were sending me a message to stop begging and Trust the Process. That comes hard for me and I know I’m always getting in my own way and 🚫 my blessings…but I’m getting better at setting the intention and letting God, Universe and my Heavenly Staff do their thing. It always works out when I chill out.
Anywho, the video is basically about praying the right way. Which I’ve been doing wrong. In the video he talks about being Thankful when praying and not begging and pleading. Hmmm, you don’t say lol. Also, feeling or being One with God. Be Thankful for what you want and stop asking for what you don’t have. Your higher beings just want you to trust in them that they will work out whatever you set before them. You are them, they are You.
I was under the impression to Ask. Believe. Receive. However, the way I asked was incorrect. I should have been saying “Thank you God, Universe and Heavenly Staff for monetizing my business,” not “Please monetize my business!” If you’re Thankful and Grateful in advance the manifestation apperars quicker.

Ok, I am sure we are all aware the price of fuel is outrageous. It doesn’t help that rates don’t seem to be climbing as fast.
The only way I can see to rectify this is if truckers take a day or two and not buy fuel. I know it would be hard to not move due to the state of the economy and inflation rearing it’s ugly head but we have to do something. Drivers already pay for everything to conduct business so why can’t they get a break at the pump?

The “black folks” holiday that only some people want to recognize. It’s cool cause I have been celebrating since I was a kid.
Black people’s Independence Day or 4th of July. However you refer to it just make sure to celebrate the meaning.
June 19th, 1865 is when slaves learned they were emancipated or free from slave owners. So today is a good day to remember we are free but we are not equal. Live it up and be proud to be black ✊🏾❤️💙
The fact that I am writing this in April of 2022 is utterly ridiculous 😫 However, here I am trying to inform whoever needs to hear this that CATFISHING is a JOB for folks. I mean real deal, pays the bills, makes a fool of innocent folks, job.
I was catfished, for one day recently. I signed up for a dating site on Friday and by Saturday this fine ass man was in my inbox. Now, I was mad at myself for going along with it as long as I did. But not so much cause I was leary the whole 24 hours and made sure he knew I didn’t completely trust him.
There were red flags out the gate once we left the site and started texting like the wording of his texts. He wasn’t using good grammar which was weird cause he looked American. Anywho, I let that slide cause his grammar improved, which was weird. Another was when he said he would delete the app and be exclusive with me after about an hour of texting. He would also stop texting for periods of time then come back talking bout reception was bad…even tho he told me he was in Houston for work and from Nashville and had an IPhone 🤥 This happened at least 3 times throughout the night.
Next, was Sunday. He sent me a text around 1230am or 1am talking bout good night after another phone mishap and I hadn’t heard from him in hours. When I woke up at 5am I replied to the text and he replied right back! I asked “why are you up?” He said, “cause you texted.”🤨 Then he sent me pics of “his kids” with him. First of all, he said his kids were 18 and 8. Child please, in the pic the 2 boys were maybe 2 yrs apart and the oldest in the pic was like 11 or 12. I asked him to video chat and he gave the tired old excuse of not being able to work the camera on the phone 😒
At this point my Spidey senses are on high alert ⚠️ I asked him if he could call me and he hit me with he was shy on the phone. Yeah right, finally I asked how tall he was and he said 5’7″…no way the guy in the pics was that short. I snapped!🤬
I cussed him up one side and down the other on Easter Sunday 🤷🏾♀️ 🙏🏾He still tried to play like I was tripping and should trust him so I told him call me right now. He didn’t call in one minute and I told him he was a 🤡 and that I was reporting his profile. Then I blocked him and reported his profile.
I’m sure the majority of the people on these sites are fake accounts but you don’t want to loose faith in people. Catfishing brings you back to the reality of the fact people suck.
So, if you or someone you love thinks they are being Catfished, there’s a show for that, ironically called “Catfish” lmaoooo. Don’t be ashamed, watch some episodes and you’ll see people of all ages are falling victim to this filthy scam. And, unfortunately, some are losing thousands of dollar$$$ because they believe it’s a real person and real love. Never believe it can’t happen to you, these people are con artists.
Signs they’re a CATFISH :
-Accent don’t match where they say their at or from. Usually, won’t talk on phone or video chat. If they are female/male and pretending to be the opposite sex they will disguise their voice or have a person of the sex they are portraying speak for them.
-Quickly tries to lure you into a relationship.
-Asks for money for anything from a cell bill to a car payment. Talks about they or a loved one are sick and they need money for scripts or appointments.
-If it gets this far…agrees to meet but don’t show. 9 out of 10 times they’ll make excuses why they can’t show.
-Pics don’t match voice, seem reproduced or are the same ones from the social media page You know about.
-Goes ghost from you and the internet and then reappears with a crazy ass story…most times they died or someone close to them died, accident (car or other tragedy), cancer happens a lot.
-Their grammar in texts doesn’t seem like proper English or it is as thou a foreigner is typing them due to the wording.
-These are only a few, but major, signs your being Catfished. Please be alert when on dating sites because that is where a majority of them are. -Also, social media is a breeding ground for these clowns. Remember this saying, “CAN’T SEE, CAN’T BE.” You shouldn’t want to pursue a relationship with someone who won’t show you their face, 99% of the time it’s because they’re hiding something. It’s 2022 for Christ’s sake!! Everyone can video chat somehow. At the same time, you should be diligent in verifying the info they are giving you. It’s not hard to Google anyone.

In order to manifest what you want in life you must remain positive with your thoughts. Positive thinking raises your vibration. The higher you vibe in positive thought the easier you will manifest what you want.
However, the same goes with negative thoughts. If you feed off the negative you will in fact create that negativity in your life. You must let go of negative thinking if you want to Raise your vibration✅️ and Manifest your dream reality✅️
It’s that simple! Positive thoughts bring positive things. Dismiss the negative so you can bring about positivity and happiness in you life.
A good way to help be positive daily is to do mirror work. Look into a mirror and say truisms about yourself like, I am smart and beautiful. I am starting my own business. The man/woman of my dreams is coming for me now. Also, if you’re looking for guidance, ask for it. The Universe and your Heavenly Staff are listening so if you’re looking for inspiration to act upon this is the perfect way to receive it. Ask what you should be doing in this life. Then be still and listen. You will begin to get ideas that you should act upon. This is called Inspired Action.
So, keep positive thoughts so you raise your vibration. Do mirror work to help keep your vibration high. And finally, take Action when you are Inspired by the Universe and your Heavenly Staff. You’ll be surprised how your life changes!

Good customer service is the backbone of any business because without customers you’d have no business. If your Customer Service isn’t up to par try these steps. You can also contact me for more help!

These tips are for new Hotshot truckers or ones looking to streamline finding loads. Good luck!
DO!
-Look for loads that match your equipment, i.e., trailer type, length, weight, width, and date you want you to load. It makes it easier to find matching loads. *Just because a load matches to you doesn’t mean a customer will load a Hotshot. **Please note: A lot don’t load trailers that are not dock high.**
-Get qualified/set up with as many brokers as possible. Doing this will ensure there are no delays in you taking a load. Just because you see a matching load doesn’t mean the agent will hold the load while you get set up. Most will not due to the volume of carriers who never finish the packets and now they have to scramble and find someone else to cover the customer’s load.
-Carry tarps, chains, straps, and PPE.
-Understand and abide by all broker and customer expectations. If you can’t then don’t accept the load.
-Keep in contact with the agent and or broker. Turn in clear copies of Rate Con, BOL/POD, and whatever other required paperwork, promptly, to ensure you get paid.

~There’s no crying in Trucking. Either you’re All In or All Out.~
DON’T
-Think you know better than the place you’re calling for the load. If they tell you they don’t see or can’t find the load, 9 times out of 10 it is because YOU are giving the wrong info, like pickup date, trailer type, Hazardous, etc. If the broker agent tells you they can’t find it either check the info you entered or ask if they have something else coming out of your area. BE POLITE, the people answering the phones get paid to help YOU. We want you to be successful as we understand every load depends on YOU maintaining your livelihood.
-Overbook loads because at best you look eager to work and at worst you’ll have to give back loads. This will get you on the DO NOT USE list quick dealing with brokers/agents because you seem unreliable. Brokers keep notes on carriers so if you have an ugly note other agencies under that broker will see it and not use you.
-Turn down a decent paying load because it has a lot of stops. Also, don’t do something that will be detrimental to your current situation either.
